Together with NTS and Cisco, several global projects have been implemented during the last couple of years – from the introduction of new WLAN access points in Europe and China all the way to comprehensive Cisco security solutions. A reliable partner for stable networks

For many years, XAL has relied on the long-standing expertise of NTS in order to create a stable and secure network. Besides the global network harmonization and the maintenance of all Cisco components, the IT service provider supports the business regularly with network design requests or during troubleshooting. As a result, additional projects were implemented in the course of the collaboration, such as the network of the new production building in Graz. “An outage of the network also means a production downtime, a reliable partner is therefore of great significance.”, explains Norbert Pint, Head of IT with XAL.

The flexibility along with NTS’s fast response are particularly appreciated. Pint emphasizes. “When it is required, we can count on quick support, like for instance during the replacement of one of our networks over a weekend.”

Cisco multi-year service agreement

“We are strongly driven by safety,” stresses Pint. Last year, XAL signed a 5-year Cisco multi-year service agreement that ensures a constant provision with patches and security updates. These long-term agreements make it possible to keep critical components at the highest security level. “There is never 100% certainty, but with these measures we make it as difficult as possible for attackers.”, explains Pint.

“Thanks to NTS, we specifically extended services from a technological and economic perspective and harmonized them to a uniform end date. That way, we optimized the support level and achieved significant cost savings.”

Cisco Enterprise Agreement

XAL opted for a Cisco Enterprise Agreement due to the comprehensive support and the expansion of their network infrastructure. The Cisco Enterprise Agreement organizes all licenses globally and across countries for uniform duration terms with price certainty for several years. That way, XAL creates transparent, manageable agreement packages in the areas of network and security and ensures financial predictability and flexibility. In combination with the NTS service agreement, the business is able to completely protect hardware, software and licenses.
