Network with heart for the children’s hospice
NTS and Cisco enable the improvement as well as the expansion of the IT infrastructure of the Sterntalerhof association through know-how, support and the use of Cisco technologies.
The Sterntalerhof has been the only stationary children’s hospice for families with seriously, chronically and terminally ill children in Austria since 1998. The association practices an interdisciplinary approach consisting of therapy and pedagogy, psychology and pastoral care, social work and psychotherapy, if necessary in the context of palliative nursing and medical care.
The children’s hospice is funded entirely through private means and counts on loyal donations and partnerships. NTS, with the help of Cisco, provides up-to-date technologies to improve the coverage, stability, performance and security of the IT infrastructure. The support provides adequate IT infrastructure, from the family living units to the indoor riding arena for equine therapies.
More stability and support for the Sterntalerhof
To achieve this, the current and heterogeneous setup was replaced by Cisco switches, AccessPoints and wireless controllers. The newly deployed hardware meets current standards and will guarantee reliability over the coming years.

Since questions can arise even in high-quality infrastructures, support from NTS was secured with a sponsored maintenance contract.
