First Date

With Software-Defined Access (SDA) from Cisco, devices at Liebherr are configured via a centralized controller (Cisco Catalyst Center) rather than individually. This allows for more intricate configurations to be implemented reliably and efficiently.
Thanks to robust protection from unauthorized access, Liebherr staff can securely access devices across the entire network environment, provided they have the assigned rights.
Key features of the system include:
- Centralized and standardized network policies
- Zero-trust security for applications and the network environment
- Identity-based guidelines facilitated by the Identity Services Engine (ISE)
The Cisco Catalyst Center also enables the installation and configuration of devices within minutes—even across multiple locations. This centralized management is essential for Liebherr to handle the constantly growing number of connected devices, while also facilitating network service provisioning.

As part of the Relax, We Care philosophy, NTS provides 24/7 support for Liebherr’s system-relevant devices.
A potential shutdown would have severe consequences for a technology-dependent business like Liebherr. To prevent such scenarios:
- 45 NTS employees work in 12-hour shifts in the OC-24 to offer remote support, troubleshooting, and advice.
