JCL Logistics Gruppe, which is headquartered in Baar (Switzerland), operates internationally in the fields of transport and contract logistics as well as supply chain management. To date, the business has been relying on NTS’s IT competency for eight years. At the focal point of the collaboration: Managed Services for the data center, SD-WAN and LAN – fully customized and available at any time.

Originally, the partnership started with a tender for a data center. Out of it, a comprehensive Managed Service solution in the areas of Private Cloud, SD-WAN, LAN, WLAN and UC evolved. JCL appreciates especially that there is no segregation between project and operation phases. The same people that design solutions are also responsible for the implementation. This saves time, reduces annoyance, and creates trust.

At JCL it is hardly noticeable that a lot is happening in the background and this is exactly what is desired. In the quarterly meetings, it becomes regularly visible that NTS operates proactively, that they detect and remove faults at an early stage before these faults can even have an effect. In the area of network, JCL relies on Cisco technology without ever thinking about a switch. The solution provides transparency, an overview and traceability. The platform idea is continuously moving to the forefront, which additionally facilitates the collaboration with NTS. Engineers speak to each other directly – without call center or escalation paths. If adaptations are required, they are conducted in a pragmatic and customer-specific manner.

“When an NTS engineer looks at something and concludes with ‘I will change that,’ then it is fine and no second opinion is needed,” says Gerhard Schöfl. “The proposals are always tailored to our needs; they are never off the shelf.” From an economic standpoint as well, the collaboration is convincing. “You simply feel that they understand what the customer really needs,” adds Schöfl.
