NTS continues to grow

NTS continues to grow and closes the financial year 2023 as their most successful financial year to date with a record revenue of 341 million Euros. In the previous year, the group realized a revenue of 261 million Euros. Besides a growing number of employees at the locations in Austria, Germany and Italy, subsidiaries have been established in Australia, Switzerland, USA and in China. The group states that their solution portfolio and exceptional customer orientation are the main driver for these record numbers.

30% more revenue compared to 2022

For NTS, the year 2023 was not only characterized again by growth, but also by a stronger country-specific presence in Austria, Germany and Italy. The highlight and the climax of the financial year 2023 is the further increase of the group revenue of 30% to 341 million Euros (2022: 262 million Euros). The number of employees has grown continuously over the last couple of years as well. Currently the NTS staff count stands at 794 team members.

New locations in Germany and Italy

In 2023 NTS also increased their network of locations. Besides the seven locations in Austria (Graz, Klagenfurt, Vienna, Linz, Salzburg, Dornbirn, Innsbruck) and the branch in Bolzano / South Tyrol that was already established in 2011, a second location in Italy was opened in Verona during the course of the expansion process. In the rapidly growing market in Germany, Heidelberg and Regensburg were added to the existing five locations Friedrichshafen, Rosenheim, Leipzig, Augsburg and Reutlingen.

Cyber security 

The number of cyber-attacks is constantly on the increase due to the progress in digitalization, the expansion of system environments of a businesses as well as the continuous further development of attack methods. The IT service provider NTS supports their customers in the preparation of risk evaluations, in the elimination of weaknesses, in the identification of cyber attacks and in the removal of attackers from the corporate network in case of a security emergency. “These days it is not a question of whether one becomes a target of a cyber attack, but rather when. However, the outcome of an attack depends on the precautionary measures and the responses in an emergency”, states Albler when talking about the NTS Defense Services, where a highly qualified team can take over the operation of cyber security infrastructures.

Managed Services 

Generally speaking, the operational responsibility for IT infrastructures is taken over entirely or partially by experts within the scope of Managed Services. “Many customers have neither the resources nor the know-how to keep an overview on IT environments that become more and more comprehensive,” explains Albler. “In that case, we take care of the operation – if required around-the-clock. Therefore, NTS customers can focus on their core business.”

IT-Solutions “as a Service” 

Due to the progress in digitalization, it is possible to utilize resources in such a way that they can be billed based on usage or based on subscription. Thanks to this so-called shift from CAPEX to OPEX, businesses are able to optimize their liquidity as there is less capital tied to non-current assets. “With NTS, for example, you can keep your network equipment up to date and secure without having to make a one-off investment in your own infrastructure,” remarks Albler about the NaaS solution for a more precise budget planning and cost forecast.

Trend AI 

NTS is expressively in favor of sensible use of AI technologies without neglecting security and compliance standards in the process. The IT provider makes sure that customers benefit from the newest technologies and innovations with close partnerships with leading manufacturers. NTS uses AI for internal applications, and they also assist their customers during the planning of their own AI infrastructure. “It will be necessary to respect data security and compliance. We assist our customers either in a consultative way or with technological solutions that result from guidelines such as NIS-2 or the AI-Act. Here, we work closely with universities such as FH Joanneum or with consulting firms”, remarks Albler about the customer-oriented solutions that target regulatory aspects.
