NTS Private Cloud as a Service

You need a cloud solution – but which one?

Data sovereignty and regulatory compliance are a must for you. Handling sensitive data with increasing demand requires flexible and secure solutions. Your business demands fast answers with transparent costs, and long-term relief for your IT budget and existing resources. Moving to the public cloud might not be an option for you, but you don’t want to miss out on the benefits of a cloud solution that’s optimized for your business and processes.

We spoke to our Data Centre Sales Expert Christian Schuster and Product Manager Angelika Scheiflinger-Latal about the advantages of the NTS Private Cloud as a Service and found out why this solution not only offers a high level of data security, but also an attractive billing model.

Scheiflinger-Latal: If you are looking for a suitable cloud solution, you will come across terms such as hyperscaler, hybrid cloud, multi-cloud, and private cloud. The private cloud is a special case that combines the best of both worlds. Customers benefit from the optimal and customized combination of an on-premises data centre with the characteristics of a cloud, which is implemented ‘privately’ in the customer’s data centre. NTS works with the customer to find the right design and uses a modular and flexible approach to ensure that the design is optimized for the customer’s needs and equipped for future challenges.

Data sovereignty and cyber security, as well as predictable and transparent costs, are often the driving factors for customers in favour of a private cloud. The implementation of a private cloud in the customer’s data centre, protected from external access, guarantees complete data sovereignty and low latency times, which are particularly important in a production environment, as well as access and fault security thanks to a redundant design.

Private cloud – the best of both worlds

Schuster: A private cloud is a great alternative, especially for customers who need to prioritize data sovereignty and cybersecurity and therefore cannot or do not want to use a public cloud. In terms of technology, you have a cloud within your own four walls and always have a transparent overview of the costs. An added value that should not be underestimated is that I can co-define the security for the company, as the private cloud is tailored to my individual needs.

NTS uses a pay-as-you-use, transparent billing model that has no up-front hardware costs and can be adapted and expanded at any time to meet individual requirements. At the same time, as a service provider, NTS takes over the operational management of the private cloud implemented at the customer’s premises, so that the customer does not have to build up additional expertise in this area or hire additional human resources. The freedom they gain allows them to focus on their demanding day-to-day business and tackle important issues for the future.

Especially in times of increasing cyber-attacks, rising data volumes and networked working across multiple locations, the private cloud is a strong ‘cloud solution’ where data remains with the customer and any legal requirements or industry-specific regulations can be safely met. NTS is a strong partner at your side, working with you on the way to a cloud solution and taking over the operational management.

Secure, modular, tailored, and flexible

Scheiflinger-Latal: Increasing regulations and legal guidelines such as CRA, NIS2 or DORA also require IT operations to constantly question themselves. Are the availabilities required by the business being met, do the failure scenarios work and can the required guidelines be adhered to by the administration team? Are there enough staff to respond quickly to technical problems, even on weekends? Is the architecture flexible and can unplanned additions be implemented quickly with the architecture in place?

These and other questions require standardization and a cloud operating model, provided by the private cloud as a service – optionally complemented by an automation and Kubernetes platform package.

Schuster: The rapid pace of technological progress requires IT managers to rethink their approach: A cyber attack or compromised systems are subject to mandatory reporting, and managers are also liable in the event of data loss. It is therefore wise to rely on certified IT operations specialists with years of experience and established processes for monitoring, upgrades, and expansions. Our Operations Centre is not only ISO9001 and ISO27001 certified, but also ISAE 3402 compliant, offering our customers the highest level of ‘Relax, We Care’.

At the same time, our Private Cloud as a Service is designed for modular extensions and integrations, such as the integration of a Kubernetes platform as requirements change. With our Private Cloud as a Service, you are in the best and safest hands, from infrastructure and virtualization to audit-proof backups. We provide it flexibly, in server rooms at the customer’s premises or at a regional Austrian data centre operator – dedicated to one customer at a time!
