NTS DMARC App
Organizations are faced with the challenge of protecting their digital communications from sophisticated cyber-attacks. 87% of all cyber-attacks are phishing attacks delivered via email.1 Phishing, spoofing and identity theft are among the most common threats, with attackers using fake emails to steal sensitive data and abuse trust.
These risks not only put the recipient of the email at risk by stealing business-critical information, but also the reputation of the company from whose domain the email was sent. Now more than ever, effective security solutions are crucial to prevent and optimize protection. One such solution is the Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance (DMARC) security protocol.
AUTHENTICATION FOR MORE SECURITY
DMARC is based on the proven security protocols SPF and DKIM and aims to prevent unauthorized senders from sending emails on behalf of your own domain.
SPF (Sender Policy Framework) checks whether the sending mail server is authorized to send email on behalf of a particular domain. DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) adds a digital signature to ensure that the email has not been tampered with and is indeed from the specified sender

NTS DMARC APP – SECURITY THROUGH TRANSPARENCY
The NTS DMARC App provides customers and their mail administrators with a crucial element for securing their email domain and enables the successful implementation of DMARC. This NTS solution generates key reports from the emails sent, which can be used to optimize the email security strategy in an efficient, transparent and targeted manner. The application is seamlessly integrated with the Splunk software platform and uses its powerful analysis and monitoring features.
PROCESS & FUNCTIONS
An email is sent via the NTS DMARC App customer‘s domain. This email is subjected to a validation check at the recipient‘s end. Depending on the result of the check, the email is either delivered or rejected. This is where the NTS DMARC App comes in, generating a report with essential information about the email process, which is then visible to the customer (domain owner).
Detailed reporting:
The information contained in the reports makes it possible to check whether an email has been successfully delivered or rejected. These reports are essential for organizations and provide an overview of:
- Suspicious email processes
- Senders of emails via their own domain
- Delivered and undelivered emails
- Email volume
- Target organizations receiving emails from one‘s own domain (e.g., Exchange Online, Google)
Protection of the own domain:
Based on the reports received, the following actions can be taken:
- Prevent the delivery of unauthorized emails
- Control how recipients handle non-compliant emails
- Protection against the exploitation of one‘s own domain for phishing attacks
- Ensure that only authorized systems send emails
- Increase the delivery rate through validated emails
