Intelligent Infrastructure for the AI Era

At Cisco Live EMEA 2026 in Amsterdam, Cisco presented new visions for infrastructure in the AI era to more than 21,000 IT experts. The focus was on secure, scalable and economical agentic AI scenarios, as well as the new Cisco Silicon One G300 ASIC for AI clusters at gigawatt scale. This is complemented by G300-based systems and Nexus One as a unified management layer for on-premises and cloud data centers.

Under the motto “Connected Intelligence: The Revolution of Collaboration”, Cisco also demonstrated how collaboration is fundamentally evolving. Connected Intelligence describes a continuous cycle of human to AI to human interactions, built on three pillars: Connected, Agentic and Secure. New Webex agents such as Notetaker, Polling, Scheduler and Task Agent automate meeting documentation, scheduling and task tracking. The announced Translator Agent is expected to enable real-time speech translation in ten languages from July 2026, including tone and emotion. This is complemented by new AI-optimised devices such as the Room Kit Pro G2, Desk Pro G2 and the Cisco Phone 9821. Following the principle of “Distance Zero”, these devices deliver AI capabilities directly on the endpoint. In the contact centre, AI Routing and AI Forecasting also enable smarter customer interactions and more efficient workforce planning.

Cisco also outlined a clear vision for the secure use of AI within its security portfolio. The largest updates to Cisco AI Defense to date expand protection across the AI supply chain and secure agentic runtime environments against manipulation and misuse. In addition, new AI-powered capabilities within the SASE architecture analyse the context of agentic traffic. They assess not only what is being communicated, but also why and how. The goal is always to enable organisations to adopt AI technologies safely without losing control or integrity.

The key message from Amsterdam is unmistakable: security must be part of the network’s DNA. With an integrated, platform-based approach, Cisco ensures that infrastructures remain autonomously protected even as they scale, are prepared for future threats such as quantum computing, and can holistically understand AI traffic patterns.

The overall picture is completed by expanded CX services for sovereign environments. Additional Critical National Services Centers in Europe support organisations with high requirements for data sovereignty and compliance. This underlines an important point: modern AI infrastructure goes beyond hardware and software and requires an end-to-end operating, security and support concept.
